Schwinn Loop 7-Speed Folding Bike Review

Schwinn Loop 7-Speed Folding Bike

Schwinn Loop 7-Speed Folding Bike locked and folded

Being a cycling enthusiast for so long I’ve always wanted to get a folding bike to have a compact bike to commute with. I bought the Schwinn Loop 7-Speed folding bike because of some recommendations from friends for a good inexpensive entry level folding bike.

The Schwinn Loop has mixed aluminum alloy and steel parts, making some of the bike very light and some of the bike unnecessarily heavy. But still its pretty light and a lot lighter than some other comparable folding bikes for the price.

A few of the reviews out there said the stock seat that comes with the Loop is uncomfortable. I personally don’t find it uncomfortable but people have different preferences.

The bike comes with Shimano components which is great. This is pretty standard with most Schwinn bikes, but its still a good feature on the Loop. Shimano components are reliable and good quality.

The Schwinn Loop has a nice derailer-protector. it’s a good addition to the bike because it protects the derailer from getting banged up while your riding around.

The tires that comes with the bike are surprisingly good. They are really nice quality street tires. Usually stock tires on bikes are average at best but I’m very pleased with this bikes tires.

The bike also features a nice large and sturdy rack great for hauling stuff on your commute.

Altogether my review on the Schwinn Loop 7-Speed folding bike is positive I can sit here and nit pick about all the features I wish it had. But then I’d have to compare it to a much more expensive folding bike. This bike is a reliable and durable entry level folding bike that will do you right. It would make the perfect first folding bike for anyone and a lovely present. I ride mine around town daily, long distances and short distances. Great bike.
